Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and diagnosis (when necessary) of patients to evaluate their mental health status and the effectiveness of ongoing care, ensuring compliance with the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that take into account cultural diversity and the unique needs of our patient population.

• Regularly assess and document patient progress, employing interventions and strategies aimed at supporting their mental health diagnosis and recovery journey.

• Maintain timely and accurate treatment records and reports, leveraging current technologies to meet regulatory requirements and internal procedures.

• Collaborate with patients and their families to foster a comprehensive treatment approach, promoting shared decision-making in care plans.

• Coordinate referrals and act as a liaison between patients and treatment providers to ensure seamless transitions and continuities of care.

• Provide mentorship and education for mental health interns, trainees, and other learners involved in the clinical setting.

• Assist your clinical supervisor in peer reviews, chart audits, and team development initiatives to enhance overall team performance.

The primary focus of this role is to serve individuals and families impacted by cancer. You will leverage your clinical knowledge to address mental health needs during vulnerable times, offering therapeutic support and guidance that promotes emotional resilience and coping strategies.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, experience working within a community health clinic setting or directly with oncology patients will be highly beneficial. Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches is also preferred.
