Director of Development - Jefferson Abington

Job Details Director of Development in Jefferson’s Office of Institutional Advancement will collaborate with clinical and academic faculty and staff to engage in campaigns, major gifts, and related development initiatives. They will maintain an active portfolio of new prospects and existing donors, taking them through the full donor cycle of identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, gift closure, and stewardship. Responsible for meeting defined metrics and goals annually, including number of proposals presented and funded, meaningful donor encounters, and dollars raised. Job Description Maintain and manage a portfolio and communicate with patients/alumni/friends of Jefferson (phone calls, in‑person meetings, emails) in a manner that fosters a relationship that leads to a philanthropic commitment Through internal meetings and activities, develop a comprehensive understanding of the educational, research, clinical, and capital needs and priorities of the Department(s) to articulate compelling cases for philanthropic support Work with OIA centralized services teams – Communications, Events, Research, Annual Fund, Planned Giving, etc – to advance donor relations.
