Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting in-depth initial evaluations to assess patient needs and developing comprehensive, customized treatment plans tailored to their specific circumstances.

• Facilitating therapeutic sessions with clients, actively listening to their concerns, and providing a safe space for them to express their thoughts and emotions.

• Diagnosing mental or emotional disorders in accordance with established criteria and formulating appropriate interventions.

• Creating and implementing coping strategies and treatment plans that empower patients to manage their trauma and achieve personal growth.

• Monitoring client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans, and documenting patient interactions and outcomes effectively using EMR systems.

• Providing educational resources to clients and staff on trauma coping mechanisms and mental health awareness.

• Collaborating with social and medical agencies, and community outreach programs to ensure patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.

• Engaging in continuing education and training opportunities to maintain National Certified Counselor certification and remain informed about the latest practices in mental health counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on trauma injury patients, helping them navigate the complexities of their mental and emotional health challenges. You will address a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other trauma-related disorders. By providing compassionate care and expert guidance, you will support patients through their recovery journey, helping them regain their sense of self and foster resilience.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will hold:

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.

• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience working with trauma patients.

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy and understanding.

Preferred Experience\n
