Clergy and Office Administrator

Clergy and Office Administrator Congregation Kol Tikvah | Parkland, FL Congregation Kol Tikvah is a Reform Jewish synagogue based in Parkland, Florida. Our dynamic 310 family synagogue has serviced Northwest Broward County for more than 35 years and is a vibrant home for egalitarian Jewish life. Our congregation has grown to become a multigenerational kehillah kedoshah, with a diverse membership united in their love of Judaism. We are currently seeking a Clergy and Office Administrator to join our professional team. This is a part-time position, working for up to 25 hours per week. This professional will serve as the administrative hub for our Clergy team, consisting of a full-time Rabbi and full-time Cantor. This person will also serve as a key member of our administrative office, tasked with facilitating the day-to-day operations of the synagogue. Responsibilities/Duties Ensure High Holy Day, Shabbat, and other specialty services and projects are planned and executed, ensuring proper execution of work orders, room setup and more. Maintain our Clergy's operating calendars, coordinating and scheduling meetings, events and other commitments. Work with Clergy and our Director of Engagement and Youth Education on procuring, processing and reviewing all Bar/Bat Mitzvah date assignments, congregational gifts, data tracking, honors sheets, rehearsal dates and all other pertinent areas related to this and all lifecycle events. Work with Clergy to ensure they have all materials and supplies needed for success in their roles, including making copies, purchasing supplies, preparing statements, drafting documents, and more. Schedule and coordinate any travel as required by Clergy. Coordinate the curation of our weekly mi sheberach (healing) and yahrzeit lists, as well as the associated mailings and emails on a weekly and monthly basis. Process all orders, including but not limited to office supplies, Oneg Shabbat refreshments, facilities materials and more. Processing incoming and outbound mail. Enter and review new congregant or potential congregant data into our database, including key changes. Order and process memorial bricks, plaques, and other items. Prepare lists for our Clergy, including birthdays, anniversaries, special occasions and more. Serve as the "director of first impressions", fielding phone calls, welcoming visitors to our office, and collaborating with other members of our professional team to foster a warm and welcoming environment for our congregational community. Support member engagement through timely communication and follow up. Ideal Candidate Will Have A proactive and kind disposition, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, An understanding of the Jewish community and synagogue life. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented Experience working within a synagogue office environment. Experience working within Shulcloud or other CRMs. Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and internet use.
