Key Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and assessments for patients recovering from injury, disease, or surgery within our rehabilitation facility to establish tailored treatment plans.
• Implement treatment strategies utilizing an array of techniques including therapeutic exercises, stretching, hands-on therapy, and specialized equipment to alleviate pain, improve strength, and enhance mobility.
• Design and carry out personalized treatment plans aimed at achieving specific therapeutic goals that empower patients to reach their maximum potential.
• Thoroughly document patient treatments, progress, and responses to therapy, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards.
• Regularly re-evaluate patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary to adapt to changing needs and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Advise patients on the use of assistive devices for self-care and mobility, fitting them where appropriate to enhance their independence.
• Provide education and training to patients, their families, and caregivers, as well as other members of the healthcare team on effective therapy practices and the use of assistive modalities.
• Maintain up-to-date professional knowledge by engaging in continuing education, attending workshops, and participating in professional organizations.

Your role primarily involves working with a diverse patient population, including both children and adults, who require rehabilitation following surgical procedures, injury recovery, or management of chronic conditions. Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy is required to practice in Virginia.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective interaction with patients and colleagues.
• Proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records to ensure accurate documentation.

Preferred Experience
