Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews, documenting each client’s journey from the initial consultation to treatment conclusion.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health through effective diagnostic assessments, utilizing evidence-based practices.

• Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans tailored to meet the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe and supportive environment for open dialogue.

• Monitor and document client progress throughout treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary to improve outcomes.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and social workers, to create and enhance integrated intervention strategies.

• Follow up with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding clients admitted to the hospital, ensuring continuity of care.

• Proactively identify and mitigate behaviors that may impede recovery, providing guidance and resources to clients and their families.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges related to their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily addresses a diverse clientele, including individuals coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor or in a related role.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, enhancing documentation and tracking of client progress.

• Knowledgeable in the intersection of physical and emotional health, particularly with addiction disorders, and their impact on overall well-being.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth understanding of pharmacological treatments prescribed by medical specialists and their psychological effects.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and compassionately.

• Strong interpersonal skills, characterized by empathy, active listening, and a therapeutic approach to client interactions.
