Accounts Receivable Specialist Location: Boise, Idaho or Salt Lake City, Utah Department: Accounting Reports To: Corporate Controller Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to support accounts receivable operations across multiple company locations. This role is responsible for managing customer accounts, processing payments, resolving billing discrepancies, and ensuring timely collections while balancing competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Duties & Responsibilities Manage accounts receivable activities for multiple company locations and customer accounts. Process customer payments, cash applications, credit memos, and account adjustments accurately and timely. Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on outstanding balances. Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, billing issues, and customer inquiries. Serve as a primary AR contact for assigned locations. Balance multiple priorities and deadlines across branches while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness. Build strong working relationships with customers, branch personnel, sales teams, customer service representatives, and accounting staff. Collaborate with cross‑functional departments to resolve account issues and improve collection efforts. Identify opportunities to improve AR processes, workflows, and reporting. Assist with audits, compliance requirements, and month‑end reporting activities. Assist with other duties, as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred 2+ years of accounts receivable, collections, or related accounting experience. Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
