Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support veterans facing mental health issues.

• Assist primary care providers in the identification, treatment, and management of patients’ psychosocial challenges, acting as a crucial member of a collaborative care team.
\n
• Conduct comprehensive patient intakes, performing diagnostic assessments and functional evaluations, and recommend personalized treatment plans based on patient needs.
\n
• Monitor treatment efficacy through regular follow-ups and make necessary adjustments to therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Develop relapse prevention plans aimed at helping clients maintain stable functioning and higher levels of well-being.
\n
• Document patient progress meticulously in the treatment chart, ensuring compliance with Agency and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) standards.
\n
• Educate clients on self-management skills and lifestyle adjustments that promote mental health and adherence to their treatment plans.
\n
• Provide input on program evaluation and areas for improvement to management and fellow team members.
\n
• Maintain exceptional ethical standards by adhering to the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the management team.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on serving veterans and their families who are experiencing various mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other emotional difficulties. Our clinic values the importance of confidentiality and trust, fostering a safe space for our clients to openly discuss their experiences and work towards recovery. Understanding the unique struggles faced by veterans is crucial in tailoring effective interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field is required.

• Possession of a current Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license is mandated.

• Strong understanding of mental health assessment conventions, treatment planning, psychodiagnostics, and applicable therapeutic modalities.

• Demonstrated competency in working with diverse populations, with bilingual English-Spanish proficiency preferred but not mandatory.

• Sufficient mental and physical health to fulfill the role's demanding responsibilities effectively.

• Awareness of community resources available for veterans and an ability to navigate these services for client referrals.

Compensation and Benefits\n
