Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for children and adolescents, effectively evaluating psychological needs to inform treatment planning.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that consider developmental milestones, including specific interventions for various disorders such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral challenges.

• Apply evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help young individuals navigate their mental health issues, utilizing approaches like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at enhancing the family’s understanding and involvement in their child's mental health journey, thereby fostering stronger familial relationships.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care for each patient.

• Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, ensuring timely support and safety for those in distress.

• Educate young patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources to empower informed decision-making.

• Maintain complying documentation that adheres to legal, ethical, and organizational standards, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.

• Participate in ongoing professional development, team meetings, and case consultations to enhance clinical skills and knowledge in child and adolescent psychiatry.

• Stay current with the latest research and advancements in child and adolescent mental health to apply best practices in therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role involves working with children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other behavioral disorders. You will engage with families from diverse backgrounds, tailoring your approach to meet each child's unique needs while building trusting relationships with both patients and their guardians.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.

• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

• Proven experience in delivering individual and family therapy directed towards young clients.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy and a child-centered therapeutic approach.

• Ability to build rapport with children, adolescents, and families effectively.

• Technical proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and virtual communication tools.

• Capability to work effectively as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience specific to child and adolescent mental health therapy is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges between USD 80,000 and 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
