This role operates in a fully remote telehealth facility, enabling convenient and direct access to mental health services for clients throughout Oregon. The use of advanced electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, enables seamless documentation and communication of client needs, progress, and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and document case histories from initial consultations to treatment conclusion, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each client's unique circumstances.

• Evaluate the mental, behavioral, and emotional health of clients, employing a variety of assessment tools and techniques to inform treatment.
\n
• Develop individualized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of clients, whether they are individuals, couples, families, or groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and therapeutic individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices to promote healing and growth.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate actively with other mental health specialists, primary care physicians, and support staff to create and implement effective treatment strategies.
\n
• Follow up with psychiatrists and other medical professionals regarding clients requiring hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.
\n
• Identify and mitigate behaviors that may hinder recovery, equipping clients with coping mechanisms and support systems.
\n
• Support family members and primary caregivers in navigating the complexities of mental health challenges, providing guidance and resources to enhance collective well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong understanding of electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, is advantageous.
\n
• Familiarity with the guidelines and best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, complemented by exceptional interpersonal abilities and a nurturing disposition.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a mental health counselor, specifically in a telehealth or remote capacity.

• Experience working with clients experiencing co-occurring disorders, including addiction and other emotional or physical health conditions.

• In-depth knowledge of psychotropic medications and their effects as advised by medical professionals.

Compensation and Benefits\n
