Key Responsibilities\n

• Engage with students and their families, providing therapy services tailored to their unique needs.

• Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive support for clients, reporting on progress and potential areas of concern.

• Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of client interactions, including clinical assessments and treatment plans, in compliance with departmental policies and procedural guidelines.

• Respond swiftly to clients experiencing crises, specializing in immediate intervention strategies to ensure safety and well-being, including situational assessments and crisis management techniques.

• Regularly evaluate and adjust treatment plans based on ongoing assessments of clients’ progress towards their therapeutic goals.

• Meet with families and support systems to discuss treatment strategies and develop effective discharge planning.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with school-aged children and adolescents dealing with a range of mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and social difficulties. Fostering a nurturing therapeutic alliance is vital, as your approach will critically influence the well-being and emotional development of these young clients.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.

• An active state license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or an equivalent license to practice in Washington is mandatory.

• At least three years of experience working in an outpatient setting, particularly within school systems or similar environments, is essential.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently, exhibiting self-direction and exceptional organizational skills.

• Proficiency in digital platforms related to mental health services, including electronic medical record systems, spreadsheets, and communication tools.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in a school-based setting is preferred, and familiarity with the unique challenges children and adolescents face in educational environments is highly valued. Candidates should be adept at employing evidence-based therapy techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored for younger populations.
