Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Verification in Columbus, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transit location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will engage with employees and visitors, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate observations using computer or tablet tools. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.67 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue10:00 PM - 06:00 AMWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSat02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to transit riders, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, bus stops, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate emergency services and transit personnel as needed. Monitor access points and public areas, assist with directing passengers and visitors, and provide information regarding site rules and procedures. Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements. Minimum Requirements: Customer service experience is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
