Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations in compliance with current standards and state regulations, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each patient's needs.
• Analyze mobility, strength, and functional capabilities to set realistic and attainable goals for recovery.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic exercises, modalities, and patient education, adapting as necessary based on patient progress.
• Consistently document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress in alignment with medical documentation standards.
• Stay current with industry advancements by participating in workshops, reviewing literature, and pursuing continuous professional development.
• Actively collaborate with fellow team members to foster a supportive rehabilitation environment, providing assistance and insights as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on a varied patient demographic, primarily dealing with individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries. You will treat patients across a range of ages, developing customized therapy approaches tailored to their specific conditions and rehabilitation goals. This hands-on interaction not only enhances your clinical skills but also creates meaningful connections with those under your care.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required; however, candidates with a Master's or Doctorate degree will be prioritized.
• An active Physical Therapy license in Virginia is essential for this role.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including AED training, is required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Physical Therapist, with demonstrated competency in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• A compassionate demeanor accompanied by a proactive attitude towards patient motivation and engagement.
• Knowledge of physical therapy best practices, responsible equipment usage, and maintenance will be advantageous.

Preferred Experience
