Position Summary

We are seeking a qualified Adult Outpatient Therapist to provide mental health and co-occurring substance use treatment services to adults and families. The therapist will conduct intake evaluations, assess client needs, provide individual and group therapy, and coordinate care with families and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct intake evaluations and provide direct clinical treatment to adults and families.
• Assess, document, and address client needs related to outpatient mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders.
• Apply Person-Centered Planning principles when developing and delivering treatment services.
• Provide individual and group therapy based on client needs.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, family members, and other service providers to coordinate care.
• Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and case consultations.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with agency policies and funding requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work , Psychology, or Counseling .
• Appropriate State of Michigan licensure, such as LLMSW, LLPC, TLLP, LMSW, LPC, or LLP, consistent with the candidate's education and qualifications.
• At least one year of experience treating or working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness. Fieldwork and internship experience may count toward this requirement.
• Ability to work independently and manage clinical responsibilities effectively.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

The position requires 37.5 hours per week. The general program operating hours are:

• Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM–7:00 PM
• Friday: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM–1:00 PM

Flexible scheduling is available; some evening and weekend hours may be required based on program needs. There are no on-call requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly compensation depends on licensure and experience. The salary ranges are established by grant funding and are not negotiable.

• Full License: $29.47–$39.67 per hour
• Limited License: $27.22–$36.63 per hour
