This role is based onsite in our outpatient office, fostering a collaborative atmosphere among healthcare providers and support staff. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Springleaf, you will:

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' functional abilities, utilizing diagnostic and prognostic tests related to muscle, nerve, and joint performance.
• Develop, implement, and oversee personalized treatment plans in accordance with physician prescriptions, focusing on rehabilitation goals.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and modality treatments, ensuring optimal application of physical agents.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) in executing treatment protocols, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Document clinical progress, modifications to patient treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with OASIS and other clinical record-keeping standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences, sharing insights and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to enhance treatment efficacy.
• Evaluate the patient's home environment and provide recommendations that promote safety, independence, and quality of life.
• Prepare and maintain accurate clinical records including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Maintain timely communication with patients and their families regarding treatment protocols and progress updates.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role specifically focuses on orthopedic rehabilitation, providing care to clients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries or surgeries. You will work closely with a diverse demographic, including older adults requiring recovery support after hip or knee replacements, athletes rehabilitating from sports injuries, and individuals with chronic conditions impacting mobility and function.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current PT licensure in good standing within the state of New Jersey.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong foundational knowledge and experience in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Outstanding clinical reasoning skills coupled with excellent interpersonal communication abilities to foster patient engagement.
• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance for any necessary travel related to home evaluations.

Preferred Experience

Preferred experience includes at least one year of hands-on practice as a physical therapist in acute care or home care settings, with demonstrated competencies in assessing and implementing comprehensive treatment strategies. A background in managing patients with orthopedic conditions is highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000.
