Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique orthopedic needs, designed to prevent disability and alleviate pain.
• Utilize a variety of assessment techniques to evaluate patients' physical capabilities, including muscle, nerve, and functional abilities tests.
• Oversee and guide physical therapy assistants in the execution of the treatment plans to ensure they adhere to the prescribed therapy goals.
• Administer manual therapeutic exercises, instruct patients in non-manual exercises, and support them in achieving their functional goals.
• Provide recommendations regarding home modifications and equipment that can enhance patient independence and safety.
• Perform ongoing evaluations of patient progress, documenting findings and adjusting care plans as necessary based on the patient's response to therapy.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary meetings, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to plan comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Maintain detailed clinical records, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring timeliness and accuracy in documentation.
• Provide education and demonstrations to clients and their families regarding therapeutic exercises and use of assistive devices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals suffering from various orthopedic conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports-related injuries, and degenerative diseases affecting the musculoskeletal system. Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience as a physical therapist, preferably in an orthopedic setting.
• Licensure: Valid and active state licensure to practice physical therapy in Florida.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation settings.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
