Work Environment\n

This telehealth position allows for flexible scheduling and a supportive remote work environment. The role specifically requires availability for therapy sessions during after-school hours, primarily from 4 PM to 7 PM, with some weekend flexibility as needed. Our digital platforms are equipped with the latest teletherapy technology, ensuring seamless interactions with clients and coordination within the treatment team.

Key Responsibilities\n

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Providing individual or group therapy sessions for children and families in their homes or our outpatient center, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

• Designing and implementing targeted interventions focusing on behavioral challenges, anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development.
\n
• Collaborating with the Child Family Treatment Team and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure comprehensive support for children and families.
\n
• Maintaining thorough documentation of client progress, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, submitted within specified time frames.
\n
• Participating in monthly clinical meetings to discuss recommendations and treatment modifications, fostering a holistic approach to care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with children aged 3 to 20 who experience developmental and intellectual disabilities (I/DD). These include, but are not limited to, autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, and emotional disturbances. You will also collaborate closely with their families, empowering them with resources and strategies to manage behavior effectively and improve family dynamics.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field.
\n
• Active and unrestricted LMFT license.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours, with flexibility for weekends being a plus.

• Strong commitment to providing positive behavioral support and interventions.
\n
• Valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle, as some roles may involve onsite consultations.
\n
• Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Preferred Experience\n

Although not required, candidates with the following experiences will be given preference:

• Two or more years of clinical experience working with children aged 3 to 20 with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

• Familiarity with teletherapy and digital platforms for counseling.

• Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.

Compensation and Benefits\n
