We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team at Gotham Enterprises Ltd. The successful candidate will provide essential therapeutic services remotely as well as in our outpatient office setting, while also contributing to the emotional and behavioral development of children facing developmental and intellectual challenges.

Work Environment\n

This role offers a flexible work environment, combining the benefits of remote therapy sessions with occasional in-person engagements at our outpatient facility. This unique setting allows therapists to engage with clients in a comfortable environment, contributing to a more relaxed therapeutic experience. Even though the majority of work can be conducted remotely, collaboration and participation in team activities remain essential.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on therapeutic strategies tailored to the needs of children and families.
\n
• Implement therapeutic interventions designed to endorse positive behavior modifications, anger management, and coping strategies in children.
\n
• Engage with caregivers to enhance their decision-making skills and provide guidance in managing behavioral challenges at home.
\n
• Collaborate closely with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to develop and execute comprehensive treatment plans.
\n
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of therapy sessions, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes as per regulatory requirements.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings, offering insights and recommendations to improve service delivery.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on children aged 3-20 who face various developmental and intellectual disabilities. Therapists will work with a diverse clientele, providing culturally sensitive support to children from different backgrounds. In addition to traditional therapy, practitioners will engage in community-based interventions to effect positive change in youth's lives.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a closely related field.
\n
• Possession of an active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license in New York State.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours from 4-7 PM, with weekend availability preferred.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle for potential travel to client homes when necessary.
\n
• A successful background check including fingerprinting prior to employment.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing positive behavior support and evidence of effective strategies in a therapeutic setting.

• Familiarity with the challenges faced by children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
\n
• Previous experience working with youth in diverse communities is highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
