IMMEDIATE job opportunity for a driven individual who has a proven track record of performance and desire to work for a well-established organization. We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable for a specializing in high-precision, deep-drawn metal components like eyelets, housings, and enclosures for medical, aerospace, defense, and electronics industries located in Vernon, CA.
Position Summary
Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing invoices, payments, and vendor reconciliations with accuracy and efficiency. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, maintain strong internal controls, and support the finance team during month-end close and reporting cycles. The is a fast-paced environment. Problem-solving and collaboration with other team members are important to be successful in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable Operations
· Process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding, approval, and timely entry into the accounting system.
· Perform 2-way and 3-way invoice matching to purchase orders, shipping and receipts.
· Prepare and process weekly and ad hoc payment runs (ACH, wire, and check).
· Maintain vendor master data with accuracy and integrity.
· Manage employee expense reimbursements and AP-related disbursements.
· Monitor accounts payable aging reports and assist with vendor reconciliations.
· Reconcile credit card statement with proper approval and documentation.
Month-End Close & Reporting
· Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals related to accounts payable.
· Ensure proper expense recognition and cut-off of liabilities.
· Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies.
· Provide AP schedules and supporting documentation for month-end and audit processes.
Inventory & Cost Accounting Support
Compensation: $24/hr. DOE
