Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide immediate crisis counseling to clients experiencing distress, conducting comprehensive assessments to determine appropriate interventions.

• Evaluate and manage student support referrals received through Maxient, ensuring accurate record maintenance and compliance with necessary standards.
\n
• Establish and maintain confidential patient records, meticulous documentation aligning with best practices as well as federal and state laws.
\n
• Facilitate professional development and training sessions aimed at equipping students, faculty, and staff with essential knowledge regarding mental health challenges and resources.
\n
• Consult with students, faculty, and staff on various mental health concerns, offering evidence-based strategies for support and intervention.
\n
• Design, execute, and manage mental health services centered on wellness, academic success, and retention, including establishing mental health outreach initiatives.
\n
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions focused on a broad array of mental health and substance abuse issues, adapting your approach to meet each client's unique needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on serving college students and individuals facing mental health challenges. You will play an essential role in fostering a supportive environment that promotes wellness and academic retention by addressing issues related to anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and other mental health disorders.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid professional licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or LPCC in the state of California is mandatory. Please note that we are unable to accept applicants with associates licenses, as they are not billable through Medicare.

• A Master’s degree in counseling, clinical psychology, social work, or a related field is required.
\n
• Demonstrated self-direction, as well as the capacity to work independently in a remote environment.
\n
• Proficient computer skills, particularly with software such as Microsoft Office Suite, are essential to document patient care effectively.

• Ability to manage a diverse and fluctuating caseload in a fast-paced work environment.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Geriatric experience is preferred, although not required.
\n
• Prior experience in a remote counseling role or telehealth environment is advantageous.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is beneficial for efficient documentation practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n

• The salary range for full-time positions is USD 80,000 to 122,000 annually, with part-time opportunities offering USD 50,000 to 70,000 yearly.
