Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient assessments, which include thorough medical histories, physical examinations, and necessary diagnostic evaluations to determine the nature and extent of pain conditions.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in consultation with supervising physicians, which may include medication management, physical therapy referrals, and interventional procedures.
• Perform minor surgical procedures and other interventions under the supervision of attending physicians, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
• Educate patients on their medical concerns, various treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to foster health maintenance and optimize recovery.
• Maintain diligent and accurate electronic medical records, documenting patient interactions, treatment strategies, and follow-up care plans to ensure continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will primarily focus on managing patients dealing with chronic pain syndromes, including but not limited to post-operative pain, arthritis, and neuropathic pain conditions. You will engage with a diverse patient demographic, necessitating a culturally competent approach to care that respects the varied backgrounds and needs of our community members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program, with a preference for those holding a Master's degree.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Valid state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Strong clinical acumen and the ability to work autonomously while effectively collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating rapport with patients and their families.
• A demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of three years' experience in a clinical setting, preferably within pain management or a related specialty.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to maintain patient documentation efficiently.
• Experience in conducting patient education regarding pain management techniques and resources.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 160,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
