Account Manager - Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry, (Academia)

Field-based account manager for Agilent's chromatography and mass spectrometry business covering Eastern Washington, Eastern Oregon, and Idaho panhandle, with responsibility for growing market share across academic and commercial accounts through proactive sales and relationship building. Role requires approximately 75% overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Grow Agilent's market share in chromatography, mass spectrometry, consumables and services across assigned territory
• Prospect proactively for new customers and drive sales deals from initial contact through closure
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with researchers, faculty, lab managers, and procurement teams
• Develop and execute territory expansion plan targeting academic and commercial accounts
• Achieve sales targets, maintain accurate forecasting, and manage CRM and business reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or related physical or life science
• 1+ years scientific/laboratory experience with analytical instrumentation or field sales experience
• Basic understanding of chromatography, mass spectrometry, or analytical workflows
• Demonstrated success in hunter-oriented sales with prospecting and new business acquisition
• Ability to manage complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders and procurement processes
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and consultative selling skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record; willingness to travel 75% overnight

Compensation: $110,250–$183,750 base annually, plus bonus, stock, and benefits eligibility
