Staff Accountant

Whitecap Search is partnering with our client who is seeking a professional to play a crucial role in preparing and analyzing financial statements, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to financial accuracy and support business decision-making through detailed analysis and process improvements. Job Function Assist with the preparation and analysis of consolidated financial statements and management reporting. Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals. Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate recording and classification of financial transactions. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances to support financial accuracy. Coordinate payment processing activities and expense accruals. Analyze financial data and transactions to identify trends and support business decision-making. Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation for internal and external reviews. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements. Contribute to process improvements and support the implementation of new accounting standards and controls. Job Requirements 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a similar discipline. Strong experience with Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables. Experience with ERP systems and GAAP financials.
