Details Float pool position covering 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units within the hospital (Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow) Patient population includes ED border patients, medication administration in the acute mental health unit, and non-vented transfer-ready ICU patients Facility bed count of 371 with unit census ranging from 8 to 41 beds Clinician to patient ratios up to 5:1 on days/eves and up to 6:1 on nights Evening shift schedule (11:00-23:30) with every other weekend required Rotates between days/eves with 1 to 3 rotations to nights per contract Uses EPIC EMR charting system 13-week assignment at 36 or 48 hours per week Requirements Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted) AHA BLS certification required 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required 2 years of experience working as a traveler required Telemetry monitoring skills including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours Experience performing cardiac drips and reading tele strips TR Band experience required Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed Two professional references required Additional Information Responsible for cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips Must be willing and able to float between all 8 designated units as needed Free on-site parking available Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of Boston, MA to be considered local American Traveler Job ID P-750211.
