Step into a rewarding contract position supporting elementary students with diverse communication needs during a maternity leave assignment from November 16, 2026, to January 29, 2027. This dynamic role offers the flexibility to work either virtually or onsite, making it easier to balance professional goals with personal commitments.

In this position, you’ll work with a caseload of approximately 50 students, including those in general resource settings and the specialized RISE program for moderate disabilities. You’ll contribute essential speech-language services, conduct assessments, and collaborate closely with educators and families to ensure each student thrives academically and socially.

Qualifications and Required Experience:

• Active Washington State Speech-Language Pathology license
• Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
• Previous experience in school-based speech therapy preferred
• Ability to manage a large, diverse caseload while maintaining detailed documentation
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language services to elementary-aged students
• Collaborate with special education teams and participate in IEP meetings
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized therapy plans
• Implement evidence-based interventions for students with a range of needs, including moderate disabilities
• Communicate progress and strategies with parents, caregivers, and staff
