Active Stride Physical Therapy Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Physical Therapist to join our vibrant team in Trenton, New Jersey. This is a full-time, onsite position situated in an outpatient office where you will play a critical role in enhancing the quality of life for our patients. Key Responsibilities

• Consult with patients during initial assessments to understand their physical condition, symptoms, and treatment goals.
• Conduct thorough evaluations to diagnose movement dysfunctions and formulate a customized treatment plan for each patient, focusing on their specific needs and circumstances.
• Instruct patients in the application of therapeutic exercises and techniques to facilitate their recovery, ensuring they are confident and capable in their exercise routines.
• Utilize various modalities including manual therapy, massage techniques, and electrical stimulation to support healing and recovery.
• Assist patients in mastering the use of mobility aids such as wheelchairs, walkers, or crutches to increase their independence and functionality.
• Maintain detailed patient records, tracking their progress towards goals, and adapting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education to patients and their families about home exercises and preventative strategies to enhance their rehabilitation efforts outside the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Active Stride serves a diverse patient population, including children, adults, and the elderly, each presenting with a variety of diagnoses such as orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and post-surgical rehabilitation needs. Our therapists are skilled in customizing treatments for various age groups and conditions, ensuring high-quality care and support at every stage of their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is required for this position.
• Possession of a valid physical therapy license to practice in the state of New Jersey is mandatory.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficiency in computer and word processing skills for maintaining patient documentation and treatment records.
• The ability to demonstrate flexibility and agility while managing varying patient needs and treatment goals.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome all applicants, candidates with prior experience of at least 2 years in the physical therapy field will be given preference. We also encourage new graduates, as mentorship opportunities are available to ensure a smooth transition into practice.
