Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments of clients through secure video calls, determining their mental health needs and suitable treatment plans.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment strategies that account for each client's unique circumstances, allowing for adjustments as therapy progresses.
• Facilitate various therapy modalities, including individual, family, marriage, and group counseling sessions, to address a comprehensive range of mental health issues.
• Utilize virtual platforms to conduct mental health screenings, ensuring early identification of issues and facilitating appropriate referrals.
• Engage in ongoing communication with clients, providing continuous support while monitoring their progress towards personal goals.
• Document client interactions and treatment plans in accordance with organizational policies and ethical standards, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in patient records.
• Participate in professional development initiatives to stay updated on the latest counseling practices and therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will support include individuals facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and co-occurring issues. By utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques and a client-centered approach, you will play an integral role in helping clients navigate their personal journeys towards improved mental health and well-being.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Master’s or Doctoral degree in a relevant field, specifically in Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT), Professional Clinical Counseling (LPCC), or Social Work (LCSW).
• A valid and active license in the state of California as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, working with individuals experiencing mental and behavioral health challenges, including expertise in group therapy or substance abuse treatment.
• Thorough knowledge of counseling methodologies, therapeutic interventions, and current best practices related to individual and family counseling.
• Ability to establish rapport with clients and maintain a supportive therapeutic environment through their challenges and recovery processes.
