Work Environment\n

This role provides a unique opportunity to work remotely while also having access to our outpatient office in Rochester. Our practice fosters a collaborative yet independent work culture, allowing team members to thrive in a flexible setting that prioritizes both professional development and personal well-being. The therapist will typically work Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend hours on a rotational basis to accommodate our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed assessments of clients exhibiting symptoms of mood disorders, such as depression and bipolar disorder, evaluating the severity, frequency, and duration of their conditions.

• Work collaboratively with clients to design tailored treatment plans that incorporate their individual goals, preferences, and psychological needs.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate meaningful progress.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, articulating treatment options and self-care strategies to enhance their understanding and foster engagement in the therapeutic process.

• Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring ongoing effectiveness and adaptability in care.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to mental health treatment.

• Stay informed on current research, best practices, and innovative strategies in mood disorder treatment to enhance therapeutic interventions.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in clinical case discussions, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to continually refine your expertise.

• Actively advocate for client needs and promote awareness and understanding of mood disorders within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our practice serves a diverse array of clients who face challenges associated with mood disorders, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. You will have the opportunity to work closely with these individuals, helping them navigate their unique mental health journeys and achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience specializing in mood disorders is strongly preferred.
\n
• Established expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities such as CBT and DBT for mood disorder interventions.
\n
• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology and collaborative experience with psychiatrists and other medical professionals.
\n
• A proven history of achieving positive outcomes with clients facing mood disorders.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients from diverse backgrounds.
