Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mood disorder symptoms, including severity, frequency, and duration, to create actionable insights for treatment plans.

• Work directly with clients to co-develop individualized treatment plans that cater to their unique backgrounds, experiences, and therapy goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting techniques to suit individual client needs.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, effective treatment options, and self-care strategies to foster resilience and understanding.

• Regularly monitor and assess client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans in response to changing needs and circumstances.

• Engage in collaborative care with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to client treatment.

• Stay informed about new research and methodologies in mood disorder treatment to continuously enhance the effectiveness of therapeutic strategies.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans adhering to ethical and legal standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing a range of mood disorders, which may manifest in various ways, including emotional distress, behavioral challenges, and disruptions in daily functioning. Serving a diverse clientele, you will be equipped to address varying cultural backgrounds, ages, and perspectives, necessitating a tailored, empathetic approach to therapy.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois is required.

• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT.

• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology to effectively collaborate with prescribing psychiatrists.

• Evidence of successful outcomes with clients diagnosed with mood disorders.

Compensation and Benefits\n
