Commercial Roofing Sales Representative

Heroic Roofing – South Florida

Heroic Roofing is seeking an experienced, motivated, and highly organized Commercial Roofing Sales Representative to help grow our commercial roofing division throughout South Florida.

This is not an entry-level roofing sales position. We are looking for someone who already understands commercial roofing, can evaluate commercial roofing opportunities, and has experience quoting commercial roofing projects .

The right candidate will be capable of developing new commercial accounts, managing company-provided opportunities, working with manufacturers and technical partners, and building a long-term book of repeat commercial business.

This is a performance-driven sales position with upside earning potential .

The selected candidate will begin with a 60-day draw , followed by commission-based compensation with upside commissions .

Additional details regarding the draw and commission structure will be discussed during the interview process.

Representatives are expected to maintain consistent prospecting activity, generate self-sourced opportunities, follow up on assigned leads, maintain accurate CRM records, attend sales meetings and training, meet established sales and gross-profit targets, and continually expand their technical roofing knowledge.

We are looking for someone who wants to build a substantial commercial book of business , not simply collect company-provided leads.

Heroic Roofing is a Florida-licensed, veteran-owned roofing contractor serving South Florida.

The Commercial Roofing Sales Representative will be responsible for:

• Developing new commercial roofing opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, cold outreach, property visits, and relationship development.

• Responding to and managing company-provided commercial opportunities.

• Performing commercial roof inspections and gathering the information necessary to evaluate and quote projects.

• Preparing accurate quotes and proposals for commercial roofing projects.

• Evaluating existing roof systems, conditions, substrates, drainage, insulation, and other factors affecting project scope.

• Presenting roofing system recommendations and proposals to commercial customers.

• Maintaining consistent follow-up throughout longer commercial sales cycles.

• Protecting company pricing and required gross-profit margins.

• Coordinating with estimating, production, office staff, ownership, subcontractors, suppliers, and manufacturer representatives.

• Developing referral relationships, repeat customers, and long-term commercial accounts.

• Representing Heroic Roofing professionally throughout the South Florida business community.

Commercial Roofing Knowledge

Previous commercial roofing experience is required.

Candidates should have working knowledge of commercial roofing systems and be comfortable evaluating and quoting commercial roofing projects.

Experience should include familiarity with several of the following:

• TPO roofing systems

• PVC roofing systems

• Modified bitumen systems

• Commercial metal roofing

• Silicone roof restoration and coating systems

• Commercial roof repairs and maintenance

• Recover versus complete replacement options

• Existing roof assemblies and substrates

• Insulation and cover boards

• Drainage and roof conditions

• Manufacturer specifications

• Manufacturer warranty requirements

Representatives are not expected to know every technical answer independently. They are expected to understand commercial roofing well enough to identify project requirements, develop an appropriate scope, quote projects, and recognize when manufacturer or technical involvement is necessary.

Commercial roofing sales at Heroic Roofing involve more than selling based on price. Our representatives work alongside manufacturers and technical partners to help customers select roofing systems appropriate for their buildings, budgets, long-term plans, and warranty requirements.

The Commercial Roofing Sales Representative will be expected to:

• Develop strong relationships with manufacturer representatives.

• Participate in manufacturer product and system training.

• Utilize manufacturer representatives for technical assistance.

• Coordinate manufacturer roof walks and inspections when appropriate.

• Understand available manufacturer warranties and system requirements.

• Stay current on products, specifications, approvals, and installation requirements.

• Use manufacturer resources to develop properly designed roofing solutions.

This position requires proactive commercial business development.

The representative will be expected to develop relationships with:

• Commercial property owners

• Property management companies

• Condominium and HOA associations

• Facility managers

• General contractors

• Developers

• Commercial real estate professionals

• Building engineers

• Asset managers

• Other organizations responsible for commercial properties

Successful candidates understand that commercial relationships may take months to develop, but a strong account can generate multiple projects and years of repeat business.

Strong organization, follow-up, and CRM discipline are mandatory.

Every meaningful sales activity must be documented in the company's CRM, including:

• New leads, contacts, and opportunities.

• Calls, texts, emails, meetings, and roof inspections.

• Customer notes and project details.

• Photos, proposals, and relevant documents.

• Opportunity stages and statuses.

• Future follow-up activities.

• Proposal revisions and outcomes.

• Lost-opportunity reasons when available.

• Clear next steps for every active opportunity.

If an interaction is not documented in the CRM, the company will consider the interaction not completed for sales-management purposes.

Representatives are expected to independently manage their pipeline and follow-up without requiring management to continually remind them which customers need attention.
