Hearst Newspapers is investing in its sales force, and we are seeking a digitally savvy, highly motivated Account Executive to join our advertising team. You will develop and manage a sales pipeline and build new business relationships with local advertisers in the Manistee area. You will promote solutions that best fit clients’ marketing needs and collaborate with other departments to meet and exceed expectations. Hearst Newspapers operates on a hybrid work week schedule. AI-Driven Selling Leverage Advanced AI for Efficiency and Earnings: Our AI tools streamline workflow, helping you close deals faster and manage your pipeline more effectively, boosting earnings potential. Onboarding and Training Personalized AI Tutors for Seamless Onboarding: Training and instant, tailored support from AI-driven mentors to help you learn quickly and hit goals faster. What Will You Do? Drive Success with Innovative Tools: Use our AI-powered software to enhance every stage of the sales cycle from prospecting to closing. Lead Generation: Call on local small to medium businesses to demonstrate the value of our digital media advertising products (social, display, video, programmatic, SEO/SEM, traditional). Generate new leads through cold calling, networking, and prospecting. Own the sales cycle with support from the local account management team for post-sale continuity. Product Expertise: Become expert on digital and print products/services. First three weeks include global and local training; ongoing learning and training to grow and succeed as an Account Executive. Execute Sales Tactics: Implement marketing strategies and deliver compelling presentations to earn, retain, and grow revenue. Advertising Solutions: Create engaging advertising solutions to meet client needs. Client Solutions: Recommend new products and promotions, handle objections, and support local business growth across multiple digital channels. Forecasting: Manage client pipeline and monthly revenue forecast in Salesforce. Success Attributes Purposeful: Direct, fast at getting things done with integrity and determination. Adaptable: Reacts to changing conditions with practical ideas. Driven: Self-assured, competitive, and organized with repeatable results. Communicator: Lively and effective in influencing others. Trend-Savvy: Keeps informed of industry developments to keep advertising strategies cutting-edge. What We’re Looking For Education: BA/BS in Advertising, Marketing, or Communications or equivalent experience. Experience: 2+ years B2B outside sales in advertising or media, with a track record of new business and revenue growth. Skills: Strong presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
