Work Environment\n

This role primarily involves working in a telehealth setting, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions from the comfort of your home or preferred location. This flexibility is advantageous in providing mental health support to clients across various demographics in Kingsport and beyond. Our operation hours range from 7 AM to 10 PM, seven days a week, accommodating clients' varying schedules and ensuring that help is always accessible.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments that evaluate clients’ trauma histories and identify appropriate therapeutic approaches.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs, focusing on trauma recovery and resilience-building.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a supportive environment for processing trauma and developing effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, employing effective techniques to stabilize clients in distress.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, helping them understand the therapeutic process.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation, adhering to all legal and ethical standards to protect client privacy.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities to enhance trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually improve therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Tennessee.

Compensation and Benefits\n
