Work Environment

This position is entirely onsite, providing you the opportunity to work directly with patients in their homes. Given the nature of home care, your schedule may include variable weekends, but you can expect to work around 40 hours each week. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients, evaluating functional limitations and establishing personalized treatment goals.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to each patient's unique needs, addressing strength, mobility, and promote recovery.
• Provide education and expert guidance to patients and their families about treatment processes and home exercises to enhance recovery.
• Accurately document all evaluations, treatments, and patient progress, ensuring compliance with legal standards and professional guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians and support staff, to coordinate care and monitor patient outcomes.
• Participate in community outreach and educational activities, fostering awareness about physical therapy services and health promotion.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff and support team members in delivering high-quality patient care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through attending workshops, in-services, and continuing education programs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In our home care setting, you will work with a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, those managing chronic pain, and patients needing rehabilitation after injuries. Your approach should be sensitive to each patient's cultural background and personal circumstances, ensuring that care is respectful and patient-centered.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Current state licensure in Physical Therapy is essential to practice in Virginia.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are vital to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, along with basic word processing and computer skills, is expected.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
