Work Environment

This role operates primarily in a home care setting, requiring you to visit patients at their residences in Piscataway and surrounding areas. You will have the flexibility to manage your schedule while working closely with a diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical assessments to determine patients' functional limitations and tailor personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs.
• Implement specialized rehabilitation techniques to enhance mobility, reduce pain, and improve strength using a variety of modalities, therapeutic exercises, and patient education.
• Engage in clinical teaching by providing instruction and mentorship to physical therapy interns, residents, and other healthcare staff to foster a collaborative learning environment.
• Prepare and deliver in-service presentations annually to educate staff on current best practices and innovations in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Contribute to clinical research efforts and quality improvement initiatives in conjunction with management to advance the field and improve patient care.
• Document patient progress clearly and meticulously in electronic health records, ensuring compliance with both state regulations and organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your expertise will play a crucial role in guiding these patients through their recovery journeys, emphasizing functional independence and improved quality of life. Utilizing evidence-based practices, your interventions will directly contribute to their rehabilitation success.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active New Jersey State Physical Therapy license is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in orthopedic physical therapy is mandatory.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and clinical skills.
• Strong ability to assess and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is preferred but not required.
• Experience working in home health care or community rehabilitation settings.
• A strong track record of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 110,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a robust benefits package that includes:
