Nealy Fitness Rehab Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Highland Park, New Jersey. Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite and involves providing services directly within clients' homes. Our Home Care model allows for a unique and flexible work environment, where physical therapists can better understand and assess the home dynamics impacting patient recovery. The Highland Park, NJ area provides a rich community backdrop, enhancing our ability to connect with and support our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

Your role as an Orthopedic Physical Therapist will include:

• Designing and implementing personalized treatment plans aimed at restoring function and alleviating pain, based on the specific needs of each patient.
• Overseeing physical therapy assistants to ensure they deliver appropriate care consistent with the established plan.
• Assessing patients' functional capabilities through diagnostic tests and evaluating home environments to suggest necessary modifications that enhance rehabilitation.
• Administering therapeutic exercises, both manual and non-manual, to promote recovery and improve client independence.
• Instructing clients in the proper use of assistive devices and guiding families in their participation in the rehabilitation process.
• Maintaining thorough clinical records including evaluations, care plans, and progress documentation in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Engaging in interdisciplinary team meetings to contribute to the holistic care of our clients and discuss treatment updates and changes as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this position, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation and injury recovery. Your expertise will be vital in addressing the complex needs of these clients, many of whom require personalized interventions tailored to their specific lifestyle and recovery goals.

Qualifications

To excel in this position, you should possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey, maintaining good standing.
• A valid driver's license and auto insurance as travel to clients' homes is required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with patients and their families, fostering a collaborative treatment environment.
• A passion for providing high-quality care and a commitment to continuous professional development.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of experience in a home care or acute care setting is required, preferred candidates will also have:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy which lends an advanced perspective to treatment options.
• Experience in evaluating and fitting orthotic and prosthetic devices.
• Proven success in working as part of an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, reflective of your experience and qualifications.
