Experienced Orthopedic Physical Therapist (Home Care Setting)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients referred by physicians, developing personalized treatment plans based on individual needs and clinical best practices.
• Implement and adjust therapeutic interventions for a diverse range of conditions, with a particular focus on orthopedic cases.
• Provide educational support to patients and their caregivers, ensuring they understand their treatment protocols and any required home exercises.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to enhance recovery and functional independence, regularly assessing progress to adapt care plans as necessary.
• Foster a welcoming and professional atmosphere that encourages patient feedback and enhances satisfaction levels.
• Meet established utilization goals and business objectives, demonstrating a commitment to the organization's growth and success.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a wide variety of patients, including those requiring rehabilitation from orthopedic injuries, pediatric conditions, neurological disorders, and sports-related injuries. The ability to build rapport and strengthen relationships with patients will be essential in achieving their rehabilitation goals and ensuring they feel supported during their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey.
• Two years of relevant clinical experience, ideally encompassing a variety of patient demographics.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective interactions with patients and healthcare teams.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing and telehealth platforms.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home health care environments, particularly in providing physical therapy services.
• Additional certification in specialized areas such as sports medicine or pediatric therapy is highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits
