Foundation Orthopedics, P.C. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our dynamic rehabilitation team in South River, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at alleviating pain, improving mobility, and enhancing overall physical function in compliance with physician prescriptions.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' levels of function using diagnostic tests to assess muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities.
• Administer a diverse range of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy exercises, traction, and the application of physical agents to promote recovery.
• Provide supervision and guidance to Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring the appropriate application of treatment techniques as defined in clients' care plans.
• Regularly assess clients' home environments to recommend modifications that promote greater independence and facilitate rehabilitation.
• Participate actively in care plan development, reviews, and updates, contributing to interdisciplinary team conferences to discuss client progress and treatment efficacy.
• Record clinical findings, progress notes, and discharge summaries diligently, maintaining compliance with documentation standards.
• Instruct clients and their families in therapeutic exercises and the safe use of physical therapy equipment, fostering an understanding of the rehabilitation process.
• Monitor and report any changes in clients' conditions, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to align with evolving recovery goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our treatment focus encompasses a diverse range of clients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and age-related mobility impairments. By providing tailored therapy programs, we aim to restore clients' independence and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey.
• Proven track record of maintaining a pristine professional license without sanctions or board proceedings.
• Expertise in various manual therapy techniques and a robust understanding of exercise program design.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT, for efficient documentation practices.
• Current knowledge of contemporary physical therapy techniques supported by recent research is essential for delivering evidence-based care.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting or outpatient clinic is highly desirable and will be advantageous in this role.
• Experience working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, showcasing strong communication skills with healthcare professionals.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients and their families, enhancing the therapeutic alliance.

Compensation and Benefits
