Work Environment

The successful applicant will work full-time in our outpatient office located in Sayreville, NJ. You will primarily engage in hands-on therapy with patients in a state-of-the-art facility designed for optimal rehabilitation. Your weekly schedule consists of 40 hours, with some variability for weekend shifts. Our facility promotes a team-oriented culture and offers a welcoming atmosphere for both staff and patients.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Atmore Physical Therapy, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients' functional abilities to create tailored treatment plans addressing their specific needs.
• Collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to each patient's continuum of care.
• Implementing treatment strategies based on evidence-based practices while regularly evaluating patient progress.
• Providing documentation reflecting treatment sessions and maintaining accurate records of patient interactions.
• Engaging with patients of diverse backgrounds, ensuring respectful and effective communication irrespective of age or culture.
• Participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives and community outreach programs.
• Supervising and mentoring support staff, such as physical therapy assistants and aides, to ensure high standards of patient care.
• Engaging in staff meetings and professional development activities to enhance your skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus on working with a varied patient population, primarily individuals experiencing orthopedic conditions, post-surgical recovery, and rehabilitation from injuries. This involves working closely with patients and their families to develop effective strategies for treatment and discharge planning. Your ability to connect with patients and manage relationships throughout their recovery process will be essential in improving their outcomes.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• State License to practice Physical Therapy in New Jersey.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Strong proficiency in documentation and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Preferred Experience

While at least two years of relevant physical therapy experience is required, candidates with experience in outpatient rehabilitation, particularly in orthopedics, are preferred. Familiarity with treatment modalities such as manual therapy techniques, exercise programs, and modalities for pain management will set you apart.

Compensation and Benefits

Atmore Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
