Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to develop individualized treatment plans that address their specific needs.
• Utilize various techniques, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation to alleviate pain and restore mobility.
• Document patient progress meticulously, ensuring accurate records that track treatments, outcomes, and modifications to plans as needed.
• Engage in regular reassessments, refining therapeutic goals and adapting treatment strategies to ensure optimal recovery and functionality.
• Educate and empower patients (and their families) through tailored training programs on self-care techniques, assistive devices, and rehabilitation exercises.
• Maintain current knowledge through continuous education and participation in workshops and relevant professional organizations, ensuring the highest standard of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work with patients across a spectrum of ages and diagnoses, from pediatric patients recovering from sports injuries to older adults dealing with mobility issues stemming from chronic conditions. Each patient presents unique challenges, and your role will be pivotal in guiding them toward recovery and improving their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Current and valid physical therapy license in the State of New Jersey.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to patients, families, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in using computer applications for documentation and patient management.
• A flexible approach to patient care and the ability to adapt to varying needs in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• While prior work experience in a clinical setting is beneficial, it is not strictly required; we welcome new graduates seeking mentorship opportunities.
• Experience with outpatient physical therapy practice is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
