Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, including reviewing medical histories, performing specific assessments, and documenting evaluation results.
• Develop and clearly communicate individualized treatment plans to patients and their families, integrating their input into goal setting.
• Implement treatment protocols in accordance with state-of-the-art practices, adapting techniques based on patient responses and evolving healthcare standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to provide the best possible treatment outcomes and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment activities accurately and promptly, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
• Manage your scheduling effectively to meet productivity benchmarks while maintaining high standards of care.
• Engage in patient discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring continuity and support post-treatment.
• Participate in marketing initiatives within the community to promote the services of the rehabilitation center.
• Actively pursue professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills, and provide mentorship to interns and students in the program.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Full-Time Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. These patients often require a tailored approach focused on enhancing mobility and strength. Your role will directly impact their recovery journey, providing them with the tools and support needed for successful rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Active state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey.
• American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.
• A strong commitment to patient-centered care and a collaborative team approach.

Preferred Experience

While prior clinical experience is not required, candidates with experience in outpatient orthopedic settings or related fields will be given special consideration. Compensation and Benefits
