Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, restoring muscle function, and optimizing performance in line with patients' capabilities and goals.
• Oversee Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring proper execution of treatment plans and adherence to established guidelines.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' functional abilities using diagnostic assessments, including muscle and nerve tests, to develop effective treatment strategies.
• Assess and make recommendations for clients' home environments to improve rehabilitation potential and increase independence.
• Deliver physical therapy services as prescribed by referring physicians, ensuring adaptability to meet unique patient needs.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and physical treatments including massage, traction, and application of physical agents, tailored to the individual's rehabilitation plan.
• Evaluate, fit, and modify orthotic and prosthetic devices, collaborating closely with referring physicians regarding necessary adjustments.
• Document clinical assessments, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries with attention to detail for optimal patient record-keeping.
• Participate as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team, contributing to case discussions and collaborative treatment planning.
• Educate and instruct clients and their families about therapy modalities, enabling them to take an active role in their recovery process.
• Complete functional assessments and update care plans in accordance with the evolving needs of clients and their progress.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations concerning the supervision of Physical Therapy Assistants.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to further the goals and objectives of Go Physical Therapy Clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Senior Orthopedic Physical Therapist will collaborate with a variety of patients, primarily focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our holistic approach emphasizes tailoring treatment to the specific needs and functional goals of each client, ensuring personalized care that respects their individual recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in a physical therapy setting, particularly within orthopedics.
• Current CPR certification, ensuring the ability to manage emergency situations effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in a rehabilitation facility is highly desirable.
• Advanced certifications or specialized training in orthopedic physical therapy techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
