Work Environment

This position is located onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in South River, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians, assessing their movement, strength, and overall physical functionality.
• Develop, implement, and adjust personalized treatment plans that align with physician directives and address individual patient needs.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques to facilitate recovery and enhance patient quality of life.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on effective rehabilitation strategies and post-treatment home exercises.
• Maintain clear documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to optimize integrated care pathways for improved patient outcomes.
• Engage with patients in a manner that promotes excellent customer service and fosters trust, leading to strong therapeutic relationships.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily includes individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, but our therapists also provide care for pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases. You will have the opportunity to treat a diverse range of patients, tailoring your approaches to suit different demographics and rehabilitation goals. By establishing strong patient rapport, you contribute to exceeding their functional goals and promoting long-term wellness.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program is required.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy and a Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, enhancing interactions with patients and colleagues alike.
• Proficiency in technology, including word processing and electronic health record systems.
• Ability to foster connections with patients, instilling confidence in their treatment and recovery journey.

Preferred Experience

While a Bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement, a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred. Candidates with experience in orthopedic, pediatric, or sports medicine physical therapy will be given preference, as will those who have demonstrated the ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining quality patient care.
