Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Developing, implementing, and directing physical therapy treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, with a focus on orthopedic injuries and conditions.
• Overseeing and mentoring Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the proper execution of care plans and adherence to best practices.
• Conducting thorough patient evaluations through diagnostic assessments to establish baselines and track progress.
• Evaluating home environments to make recommendations that enhance patient rehabilitation and independence.
• Administering therapeutic exercises, modalities such as traction and massage, and implementing treatment protocols prescribed by referring physicians.
• Monitoring and documenting patient responses to therapy, making necessary adjustments to care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Actively participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure coordinated and holistic care approaches for all patients.
• Completing and maintaining comprehensive clinical records, including initial assessments, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Engaging in patient and family education regarding therapeutic practices and the effective use of physical therapy equipment.
• Contributing to patient outcomes by employing effective decision-making and innovative therapeutic strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients requiring rehabilitative services, including those recovering from surgical procedures, managing chronic pain, or overcoming the effects of injury. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
• Active physical therapy licensure in the state of New Jersey.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Strong commitment to clinical excellence and holistic patient care.

Preferred Experience

Ideal applicants will have at least one year of experience in an acute care or home care setting. Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 – $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
