Food & Beverage Manager

Position Food & Beverage Manager – Baccarat Hotel New York (Forbes 5‑Star). Key Responsibilities Supervise 40+ employees in the Restaurant/Bar. Interview, hire, train, and evaluate staff. Plan, assign and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees. Address complaints and resolve problems. Employee training, development and review. Delegation of work. Safety & emergency procedures. Enforcement of job descriptions. Job performance reviews. Staff morale. Department scheduling. Organization of documented employee files. Rewarding & disciplining employees. Complete payroll on a daily basis. Manage department costs within budgetary goals (food, beverage, labor). Key Qualifications Three years of Food & Beverage management in a luxury, world‑class hotel. Three years of technical Food & Beverage experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous employee management in a Local6 union environment. Primary quality detailed service ethic. Strong interpersonal staff and guest relations skills. Team‑minded approach to fellow workers. Ability to apply common‑sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
