Human Resources Operations Specialist – Contract New York, NY | Onsite | 45–50 hours per week A leading global investment firm is seeking a Human Resources Operations Specialist to join its New York-based Human Resources team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career HR professional who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and interested in gaining broad exposure across People Operations. This individual will support a variety of employee lifecycle and HR operational processes, including onboarding, employee data management, employment verifications, immigration and mobility support, contractor administration, reporting, and general HR projects. Rather than focusing solely on one area or system, this role will provide the opportunity to work across multiple People Operations functions and develop a well-rounded HR operations skill set. Responsibilities Maintain accurate employee data across HR systems and records Process employee updates, data entry, and employee lifecycle changes Conduct data audits and identify discrepancies or opportunities for process improvement Support new-hire onboarding, orientation, and first-day coordination Prepare employment verifications and other employee documentation Assist with immigration and mobility-related processes Support contractor and non-employee onboarding, including agreements, background checks, and documentation Monitor contract expiration dates and assist with extensions Process timesheets, payroll-related files, benefits uploads, and vendor invoices as needed Partner with People Operations, HR Business Partners, and People Analytics stakeholders Prepare reporting and communicate HR processes and updates to internal teams Support additional People Operations projects based on evolving business needs Qualifications Approximately 2–3 years of professional experience in People Operations, HR Operations, HRIS, employee data, or a related HR function Corporate experience strongly preferred Experience working with an HRIS such as Workday, Oracle HR Cloud, or a comparable platform Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in data Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus as business needs change Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential employee information Mature, polished, and comfortable communicating with a variety of stakeholders Flexible, team-oriented mindset with an interest in supporting multiple areas of HR Preferred Experience Employee onboarding or employee lifecycle administration Immigration or mobility support Employment verification or records management Contractor administration, contract management, or invoice processing HR reporting, People Analytics, or Tableau Experience working in financial services or another fast-paced corporate environment #J-18808-Ljbffr North Bridge Staffing Group
