Senior Accountant

A growing and financially stable organization in the construction and project-based services sector is seeking a hands-on accounting professional to support financial operations, project performance reporting, and business decision-making. This role works closely with leadership and operations teams to provide actionable financial insights while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting records. What You'll Do Manage month-end and year-end accounting activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting. Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Support audits, tax reporting requirements, and financial controls. Provide Business Insights Analyze financial results and identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Develop reports and dashboards that help leadership evaluate business performance. Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning initiatives. Partner with management to improve financial visibility across the organization. Support Project & Operational Performance Review project financial data and track profitability throughout the lifecycle of active work. Evaluate cost trends and assist with identifying operational efficiencies. Assist with administration and documentation of insurance programs and compliance requirements. Maintain organized records to support audits, reporting requirements, and regulatory obligations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. 3+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience. Experience in construction, project accounting, engineering, or another project-driven environment is highly preferred. Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and budgeting concepts. Advanced Excel skills and experience working with accounting or ERP systems.
