Spanning over 5,000 square feet, our state-of-the-art facility is equipped for advanced sports medicine practices, designed to enhance the capabilities and comfort of our patients. Our dedicated team currently comprises two skilled physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), all united in their commitment to providing gold-standard care. With a patient base largely drawn from individuals with private medical insurance, Adventist values a holistic approach that encompasses physical recovery and lifestyle improvements.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our rehabilitation center in Centreville, promoting teamwork and collaboration within our supportive interdisciplinary environment. Emphasizing a standard work week from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, you will have the opportunity to engage one-on-one with patients across varying cases and conditions. This structure allows for focused patient interaction, crafting personalized treatment approaches in a conducive setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with patients to understand their specific needs and establish tailored rehabilitation goals.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring focused and effective treatment.
• Draw upon your prior experience in orthopedic outpatient care to deliver high-quality services.
• Implement evidence-based cost-effective treatment modalities aimed at improving motion and mobility.
• Encourage patients to explore non-surgical alternatives, minimizing reliance on pharmaceuticals.
• Design and execute individualized care plans incorporating a diverse range of treatment techniques.
• Develop customized fitness and wellness programs that address the unique needs of each patient.
• Document, evaluate, and monitor treatment effects and patient progress consistently.
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices by improving patients' strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain clear and open communication with patients throughout their treatment process.
• Ensure thorough documentation of all care services provided to maintain accurate patient records.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, injuries, or surgeries. The practice caters largely to individuals with private medical insurance, allowing for a personalized approach to therapy that emphasizes quality interactions. This role requires a deep understanding of the patient experience and a commitment to supporting them in their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Active license as a Physical Therapist in Centreville, VA, with no disciplinary actions taken against it.
• Demonstrable manual therapy skills and experience in developing effective exercise routines.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) software, specifically WebPT, and ability to navigate it efficiently.
• A genuine passion for helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their quality of life.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly preferred, as it will enhance your ability to deliver relevant care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Proven success in developing personalized treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits
