Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate students’ mental health concerns, implementing tailored treatment plans based on individual needs.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches to foster personal growth and resilience.

• Collaborate with educators, school counselors, and other mental health professionals to create a supportive network for students, ensuring holistic care.

• Provide educational resources and support to families, helping them understand and actively participate in the recovery journey of their child.

• Maintain accurate and secure documentation of all client interactions in compliance with HIPAA and ethical standards.

• Monitor and evaluate client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to better meet the evolving needs of students.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus as a counselor will be on school-aged children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral disorders, and more. You will be instrumental in identifying their struggles and providing evidence-based interventions to help them flourish academically and socially.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) .

• A bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required; however, candidates with a master’s or doctoral degree are preferred.

• A solid understanding of evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities relevant to the student population.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport and trust with a diverse range of clients.

• A genuine passion for supporting young individuals through their mental health challenges.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health counseling, specifically working with children and adolescents.

• Familiarity with school systems and educational policies, as well as experience collaborating with educators.

• Training in trauma-informed care and knowledge of culturally competent practices is highly regarded.
