Full-Time Nurse Practitioner - Dermatology Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in Dermatology to join our prestigious team at Atlantic Health Services Inc., located in Islip, New York. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be part of a dynamic team composed of experienced dermatologists, medical professionals, and support staff who are all passionate about improving patient outcomes. The typical work schedule includes Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with one rotational late shift each week from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and occasional Saturdays based on patient demand.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments that include taking medical histories and conducting detailed skin examinations.
• Diagnose diverse dermatological conditions, ranging from common skin ailments to complex medical issues.
• Execute a variety of cosmetic procedures, including but not limited to Botox injections, dermal fillers, and laser applications.
• Assist in skin cancer screenings and provide meticulous post-operative care to ensure optimal recovery for patients.
• Deliver expert skincare advice and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s skincare goals.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Continuously engage in professional development and education to stay abreast of the latest dermatological advancements.

Qualifications

• A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with specialization in dermatology or a family nurse practitioner program inclusive of dermatology coursework.
• Certification as a Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner (DCNP) from the Dermatology Nursing Certification Board (DNCB) is required.
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State.
• Demonstrated clinical acumen in dermatology, with a solid understanding of skin conditions and treatment modalities.

Preferred Experience

• Significant experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a dermatology setting or a related healthcare field.
• Proficiency in performing a variety of cosmetic dermatological procedures such as injections and laser treatments.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems to efficiently document patient interactions and treatment plans.

Compensation and Benefits
