Key Responsibilities\n

As the Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will:

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, utilizing standardized assessment tools.

• Develop customized treatment plans tailored to individual client needs, incorporating psychoeducation and evidence-based interventions.

• Implement therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) during sessions to address mood disorders effectively.

• Monitor client progress through regular assessments and adjust treatment plans as necessary to reflect changes in their mental health status.

• Foster strong therapeutic alliances with clients and their families, providing guidance on coping mechanisms and self-care practices.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate integrated care for clients.

• Stay informed of the latest research and best practices related to mood disorders to ensure high-quality client care.

• Maintain thorough and confidential client records as mandated by legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on supporting individuals dealing with mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, along with those experiencing challenges related to bipolar disorder. You may also work with vulnerable populations, including the homeless, refugees, or victims of domestic abuse, all requiring compassionate and skilled therapeutic intervention.

Qualifications\n

• Current and active Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy is required.
